Baby | Little James

Y'all. This kid- I tell ya. Little James has my heart you guys. And that expression above, is just about my favorite thing this season. PLUS, he has a mole on his cheek just like his daddy. It's too much. But Little James has proven to be quite the trouble maker. See, he has a special therapist friend that comes to visit him and when she's there he wants to sleep. Not so great. When I, the photographer who loves sleepy babies, shows up, he's gotta check it all out. So while I did manage to work some magic for him to catch some zzz's, most of our time together was spent with one alert little baby. Which is great when he makes faces like that :) 

Congrats Mom & Dad! I can't wait to see how Little James grows! 

Expecting | Cassie & Daniel Dickard

These two are literally the sweetest parents-to-be! They had a fabulous friend purchased a mini session for their maternity photos and I'm so glad she did as I believe we all enjoyed our morning at Trinity Park in Fort Worth, Texas. It was the perfect morning for a session and I couldn't imagine a better couple to spend it with. AND as you'll see at the end, a train went by for the last shot- just awesome! Congrats you guys on your new little guy coming soon! 

Adoption | Growing the Jones Family

The Jones are probably one of the most loving, caring, & joyous couples you could ever meet, and to top it all off they now have quite an adorable little boy. Nick & Sam decided that it was time to make their family of 2 grow by one more and started down the path of domestic adoption (domestic = US). Not long into their journey, they were selected and hurried through the whirlwind of paperwork, red tape, and mandatory government delays to reach the other side to their baby boy. This sometimes long process took these guys less than 5 months and now here they are. I love that I was welcomed to partake in a piece of their story with all of it's warmth and laughter. Here are a few of my favorites from the session that best tell of their first days as Mom & Dad!
